Keep your Dobsonian telescope properly balanced with the Orion Magnetic 3 lb Counterweight. Designed for larger steel-tube Dobsonian telescopes, this heavy-duty magnetic counterweight helps offset the additional weight of heavy eyepieces, Barlow lenses, finderscopes, cameras, and other accessories that can cause your telescope to become front-heavy.
Featuring a powerful ceramic magnet housed in a durable steel casing, the counterweight attaches directly to your telescope's optical tube without requiring tools, brackets, or permanent modifications. Simply reposition the weight along the tube to achieve the desired balance.
A large integrated handle makes the counterweight easy to attach, remove, and reposition, while a felt-lined base and foam rubber stabilizing strips help protect your telescope's finish and prevent rocking on curved surfaces.
