Description
Coronado SolarMax II 40mm Double-Stacking Etalon with RichView Tuning - SME-40
Enhance your hydrogen-alpha solar observing experience with the Coronado SolarMax II 40mm Double-Stacking Etalon. Designed to work with compatible Coronado solar telescopes and filter systems, this external etalon improves image contrast and reveals finer detail across the Sun's chromosphere.
When combined with a compatible primary etalon and blocking filter, the double-stacking configuration reduces the system's effective bandpass from approximately 0.7 Å to 0.5 Å, enhancing the visibility of solar filaments, active regions, and surface structures.
The integrated RichView tuning system provides precise adjustment of the etalon's transmission band, helping observers optimize contrast for different solar features, including prominences along the solar limb.

Important Solar Safety Information
This product is an external double-stacking etalon only. It is not a complete solar telescope and must never be used as a standalone solar filter.
Safe operation requires a compatible primary etalon, the appropriate blocking filter, and correct installation according to the manufacturer's instructions. Improper use may result in immediate and permanent eye damage.
