Solid Lens

The FOV on this lens using the ZWO2600MC is spot on and very flat. For the price point the stars are excellent out at the corners. The build overall is solid. I did have to tighten slightly the #4 Load adjustment screw to minimize the play on the focuser and eliminate tilt. The focuser overall is ok, but I opted to add the EAF, which installed easily. While my overall experience is limited, I would buy again as this is a cost effective purchase and within the load range for the HEQ5 Pro mount that I have.

Description

This long-focal-ratio Flatfield astrograph from Askar is an excellent choice for both imaging and visual use.
It has a large 44mm image circle and does not require a field flattener, simplifying spacing and connections.
It's an air-spaced triplet with 2 ED lenses, making chromatic aberrations a thing of the past. It includes a 3.4" rack and pinion focuser with a built-in rotator, a 2" adapter ring, threaded adapters and a 1.25" to 2" adapter.

This scope also includes rings with a Vixen dovetail, a carrying handle and excellent hard case.

The Askar 107PHQ can capture tiny star objects due to its 740mm focal length and astonishing field flattening capacity. When used Askar 107PHQ and a high-resolution camera, it can still bring out lots of detailed information of your target.

The Askar 107PHQ is also a nice choice for your visual observation. It fits 1.25", 2" zenith diagonals as well as various eyepieces and can achieve a perfect focus. It can even be used to observe planets with a super-high magnification eyepiece.

The Askar 107PHQ, an f/7 astrograph, contains four lenses including two pieces of ED glass which can better reduce chromatic aberration. It can achieve excellent color correction even with the magnification mounting to 300× in visual observation.

The sleek 107PHQ is assembled with high-quality CNC-machined components and wrapped with a smooth coating. The 3.4" rigid focuser is capable of handling a load of 8kg. It's designed with a long travel distance of 95mm, which is suitable for visual observation and it's been optimized especially for astrophotography.

The built-in flattener lens is a great contribution to Askar 107PHQ's imaging ability. It supports 44mm full-frame imaging. The stars around the corner of the images seldom suffer from distortion or deformation. At the center of its field of view, the RMS radius is merely 3um. Even a picky user can also be satisfied when it comes to the shape of stars. The Askar 170PHQ can effectively handle with problems of field curvature and vignette.
