Got it today and been testing it all day with my 127 F/6.45 refractor outside. Daytime test looked really good with most of the FOV sharp till it drops off towards the edge. No worries since most of the FOV was very sharp on pine cones and old complex lichen on the trunks of old trees in direct sunlight which looked amazing in rich clarity. Very good detail and image contrast seen and for one who never wears his glasses to observe no issues just hovering comfortably above the ep to take in the FOV. No black outs either unless you put your eye pretty much right on the glass....all good so far.
Evening test showed a wonderful view of the Coathanger to start things off very nicely framed and sharp with tiny pinpoint stars across the whole cluster. You only see the seagull like drop off in the quality of the stars in the outer edge right towards the field stop which your eye doesn't really focus on. I'm use to this with most of my wide field binoculars so no worries on that for me. If you move your eye position slightly the outer stars also sharpen up I noticed. Looking straight on quite a immersive space walk view of this beautiful cluster with several fainter field stars in the mix seen with direct vision.
Is it perfect?...no.... but it's a light as feather compared to the current 2" small brick very wide angle eps and it didn't cost me over $1100.00 either at only $149.00 ....oh happy day!
