Description
An All-Sky camera dome and housing, suiting for outdoor mounting of a camera with an all-sky lens, such as the ones that come with most ZWO planetary cameras.
The camera also comes with infra-red LEDs for uses where the housing is used for a security camera that required night-time illumination, but this will not be needed for an astronomy camera.
It's recommended to use a Raspberry Pi to run the camera. You can find an excellent project for setting it up here -> Build Your Own All-Sky Camera
You will need to either have the Raspberry Pi close by to the camera, or use a longer USB cable to run from the Pi to the camera housing. Radxa Cubie A7Z boards are potentially small enough to fit within the housing. Assembly methods will vary depending on the components you use. In most cases a hole will need to be drilled if you need to run a USB cable through the housing. A fan and venting may be a good addition depending on the positioning of the camera and how much sun it receives or if it develops condensation.
