At Telescopes Canada, we’re committed to providing our customers with the best value for their investment in astronomy gear. Our Price Match Policy ensures that you can shop with confidence knowing that you’re getting competitive pricing on all major telescope brands and accessories.

1. Overview

Telescopes Canada offers a price match guarantee on qualifying products from authorized Canadian retailers. If you find a lower advertised price on the same item, we’ll match it — before or after your purchase — in accordance with the terms outlined below.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a price match, the following conditions must be met:

  • The product must be identical — same brand, model, SKU, and condition (new, not open-box or refurbished).
  • The competitor must be an authorized Canadian dealer for that brand.
  • The competitor’s price must be in Canadian dollars (CAD) and available to the general public.
  • The product must be in stock and available for immediate purchase from both retailers.
  • Price matches must comply with the manufacturer’s Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy.

3. Exclusions

Our price match guarantee does not apply to the following:

  • Clearance, liquidation, or going-out-of-business sales.
  • Auction sites, marketplace listings, or peer-to-peer platforms (e.g., eBay, Kijiji, Amazon Marketplace).
  • Open box, refurbished, or used products.
  • Prices that result from loyalty programs, coupons, rebates, or membership discounts.
  • Pricing errors, misprints, or limited-time flash deals.
  • Items bundled with other promotions or accessories not offered by Telescopes Canada.

4. Pre-Purchase Price Match

If you find a qualifying product advertised at a lower price before making your purchase, Telescopes Canada will match the price at the time of checkout. You must provide documentation or a valid link showing the competitor’s price and product availability.

5. Post-Purchase Price Match

If you purchase a product from Telescopes Canada and the price drops on our website or at an authorized Canadian dealer within 30 days, you may request a price adjustment. We will issue a store credit or partial refund for the difference once eligibility is confirmed.

6. Manufacturer Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy

Telescopes Canada adheres strictly to all manufacturer MAP agreements. We cannot match prices below the minimum advertised price established by the manufacturer. If a competitor is advertising below MAP, we encourage you to share the listing with us, we will verify it and provide the best possible price allowed.

7. Currency and Tax Considerations

Price matches are based on the total landed cost in Canadian dollars, including shipping fees, taxes, and other applicable charges. For example, if a competitor offers a lower base price but higher shipping, we will evaluate the final total cost before determining eligibility.

8. How to Request a Price Match

To request a price match, follow these simple steps:

1. Email support@telescopescanada.ca with the subject line 'Price Match Request – [Product Name / SKU]'.
2. Include the following details:
   • Your full name and contact information.
   • The product name, brand, and SKU.
   • The competitor’s website link or official advertisement.
   • The advertised price, including shipping or taxes if applicable.
3. Our team will review your request within 1–2 business days.
4. If approved, you’ll receive a discount code or refund for the price difference, depending on your purchase status.

9. Refund or Store Credit Method

•         Pre-purchase price matches will be adjusted prior to checkout or via a unique discount code.

•         Post-purchase price matches will be refunded to the original payment method or issued as store credit.

•         Store credits do not expire and are not transferable.

10. Verification and Approval

All price match requests are subject to verification. Telescopes Canada reserves the right to confirm product availability, pricing validity, and dealer authorization. We may decline requests that cannot be independently verified or that violate manufacturer pricing policies.

11. Combining with Other Promotions

Price match discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, bundle deals, or coupon codes. Only one discount or offer may be applied to a single transaction.
