A spike mask is a simple and effective tool that creates 'spikes' on bright stars. A lens optic initially shows stars simply as points. The spikes, known from Newtonian reflector telescopes, can give images a dramatic effect that many find appealing. With the mask, you can make spikes visible in your astrophotography images without having to painstakingly retouch them into the pictures through post-processing.
Omegon accessories for the Seestar Smart Telescope
Do you enjoy setting up your smart Seestar under the starry sky but want to get even more out of your images? Omegon has a few helpful tools for that. All are robust and durable, as they are made of metal.
The parts fit together as follows:
The Omegon Dew Shield Dust cap and Lens hood for Seestar S50 attaches directly to the Seestar and ends in an M62 x 0.75 thread. You can screw in the Omegon Adapter M62 - M48 (2'' filter Seestar S50) or the Omegon Diffraction Spike Mask ZWO Seestar S50 (both parts require the M62 thread, as the Seestar itself does not have such a thread).
The Omegon Adjustable tripod pads (e.g. for Seestar S50) can be placed under any tripod, including the one from the Seestar.
