Baader Laser Collimator MkIII - 2450343

I ordered this for my son’s new 8” f/6 Dobsonian. It arrived extremely quickly from Telescopes Canada, despite my location in the very north of BC. My seven year old son had no problems quickly learning how to use it, it is very intuitive to operate. In particular, it is a well built, sturdy design, and I didn’t have any problem with miscollimation of the unit itself.

The laser is very weak in power - this was a feature for me, as I wished for it to be safe for my son to use, under my supervision. Despite tbe low power, we didn’t have any issues using it during the daytime.

In all, I’d recommend this over any of the cheaper far-eastern sourced collimation lasers. It is worth the 50% markup.

I had to dismantle it and found a bad contact. I know that it's a Baader problem.
Did'nt want to send it back.
