ZWO ASIAIR Mini Smart WiFi Controller - ZWO-ASIAIR-MINI

This is my third unit. I also have a ASIAIR Plus and a PRO. They all work seamlessly with all ZWO equipment, as well as selected DSLR's and a variety of mounts including my old Celestron CG5 goto mount from 2008. Polar alignment is a breeze. Setting up Auto runs or Plans to automate your photography sessions is easy. The video option is excellent for moon and planets, which can be stacked and processed right on the asiair unit. I wish the software would allow for profiles so that one unit can be moved from one to another without changing setups. But, at <$300, I am willing to put a dedicated unit on each rig.
No issues in 4 years with the Plus. The Pro have poor wifi range. The mini is great, but I miss the USB 3.0 connections for speed. (not a serious issue)

Works good, shipping better than amazon, bought it and got it the next day.

Has been great helped me learn the basics and makes it so I don’t need to have a laptop outside getting covered in dew

Purchased the mini a couple of weeks ago as an upgrade to my AAP. After numerous tries the firmware upgrade fails and will not complete and the device remains unusable.

Opened a ticket with ZWO the same evening and they have yet to contact me to resolve. So far, not a great experience.

At this point I just want to return the unit for a refund and perhaps try a different unit.

Very frustrating overall.
