Check out what can be accomplished with a ZWO 224MC used for Planetary Imaging -> http://planetaryimagingtutorials.com/getting-started/?fbclid=IwAR3QJap5MG4V7O8npU9izqtWnoJbgAIDHEt-6As1_-kUu9ayCSpNnbWJiFo
The ASI224MC has a 1/3″ and 1.2 megapixel IMX224 sensor with SONY Exmor and NIR technology. Extremely low read noise (1.5 e) and high sensitivity, especially in the IR range. Read noise of the ASI224 is less than 1e, which is comparable to sCMOS or EMCCD sensors, making it very suitable for planetary and small DSO imaging.
Relative QE Curve, the Peak Value is 75%-80%.
PCB Version 1.3 (include anti-amp glow function)
Most sensors will have amp-glow problem if you perform long exposure captures, such as longer than 1s.
We have applied an amp glow reduction technology to our ASI224MC and ASI224MC-C cameras - it is a hardware modification to reduce the amp-glow of the sensor.
USB 3.0 Port & ST4 Port
USB 3.0 Port: This port can provide 5Gb bandwidth to let the ASI224 run at 64fps (12bit, normal mode) or 150 fps (10bit, high speed mode) at full resolution (1.2 megapixels).
ST4 Port: Connect with your mount's auto guide port
