The Optolong UV IR Cut Filter effectively blocks infrared and ultraviolet frequencies, resulting in the elimination of violet halos around stars and crisper focus with better contrast when used as a luminance filter for planets and the moon.
The filter also reflects heat and acts as an inexpensive dust cover for the more expensive components.
