Very good device

Decided to go for this as I plan to get a longer focal length scope but do not want to go the OAG route. I paired this to the Celestron 6" 750 with perfect guiding using the hand controller and performing eaa with excellent results. Purchased the SW Quattro 150p @ 518mm (f3.45 with CC) in less then ideal sky conditions this guided the mount completely stand alone and performed very well imaging using nina and controlled using CWPI perfectly round stars - auto merdian flip worked well but i got clouded out so can't confirm accuracy but i assume it worked flawlessly. this setup was as simple as it could get, will configure it to work through nina in the future. Very happy with this product as well as the scope and the AVX wonderful combo.

Prompt shipment and excellent guiding scope

Previous guiding scope was too complex to use, this new model from Celestron did the trick using the CPWI software for alignment & tracking, focusing and finding.

This StarSense makes Sense

I've struggled getting good images of deep sky objects in light swamped Mississauga. I have had success using a HyperStar with my C11 but at the expense of wide angle shots. Adopting scientific research techniques I've collected a fine set of filters based on the observations of others like, "oh oh, this filter works great in my light polluted backyard". I've grudgingly come to the conclusion that I needed to learn how to auto-guide my scope. I took the chance on the new Celestron StarSense Autoguider as I thought it would reduce my learning curve. I was surprised, only one plate-matching image was needed to align my C11. Scrolling to objects places them dead centre in my field of view. As for auto-guiding, I've been able to obtain an over 95% keep rate of 5 minute exposures. Admittedly, I've only used it 4 times and with relatively bright objects. Neither do I compare my experience to other auto-guiders or use of a dark site. I only say that for me in my back yard looking for a simple solution, this is a big step forward. I'm hoping for another big step forward using the StarSense Autoguider at a dark site.

The optical tube is threaded to accept 2” astronomical filters. Add an IR-pass filter to align your mount in twilight or a neutral density filter for daytime focusing.

The device also includes an onboard computer and a highly sensitive Sony IMX290-DLL monochrome CMOS image sensor, all working together to provide exceptional guiding accuracy. You can view a live image from the camera via your PC if desired.
