Insight on the Celestron PowerSeeker 127EQ Telescope

From reading the reviews by Rob and Dave it appears that they expected to be able to just set up the 127EQ straight out of the box. It is clear that Rob did not know how to use an EQ set up. And did not balance telescope and tripod.
Everyone who is contemplating to purchase PowerSeeker 127EQ NEED to read the setup directions thoroughly and fully understand how to use the EQ setup. And yes I own the PowerSeeker 127EQ.

Disappointing.

The controls on this model are poorly thought out. The telescope is pretending to be something it is not. Both of the dials move the scope side to side, neither of them work up/down, instead both of them moving side to side, and that’s weird. Elevation is done with a screw on the pivot point, which is even weirder. Nothing locks down properly, the scope falls, doesn’t stay secure. Just garbage and it’s getting returned.

Unusable I'm in the process of returning it.
