Description

For all astrophotography enthusiasts, filters are one of the indispensable accessories to achieve perfect deep-sky imaging. The dedicated astronomy filters for deep-sky imaging can effectively eliminate the influence from the background light and enhance the contract of your photographs and make the targets displayed more clearly and delicately. Askar’s newly-launched 3nm deep-sky Color Magic narrowband filter is a professional astrophotography tool specifically designed for deep-sky imaging.

Compared with the previous Askar 5nm deep-sky filters, this filter set has a narrower bandwidth. Therefore, even if your are at an area affected by the urban light pollution, night glow and other undesired light, you can capture high-quality deep-sky pictures with the help of Askar 3nm narrowband filters. The narrower bandwidth and efficient light transmission considerably enhance the contrast of your pictures, making it easier to display the details of the stars that otherwise are fairly difficult to spot.

At the same time, the Color Magic 3nm deep-sky narrowband filter has very good halation control, providing more contribution to your astrophotography.

Askar 3nm SII filter has an ultra-high transmittance over 90% at its center wavelength (672nm). The highly narrow 3nm bandwidth ensures this filter for astrophotography effectively blocks out light pollution or other distracting factors such as night glow.

Askar SII filters can effectively capture targets of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants that release SII particles. The deep red light emitted by SII has a very different character to the light emitted by the surrounding H-alpha, giving a totally different image detail in the SII region than in the H-alpha region. So, when you are photographing nebulae emitting SII, use the Askar SII narrowband filter. 3nm bandwidth and high transmission at the central wavelength allow the Askar SII narrowband filter to enhance the contrast and detail of images of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants.
