Hey everyone — it’s that time of year again! We’re beyond excited to announce that Telescopes Canada will be returning as a vendor at Starfest 2025! 🎉✨
If you haven’t been before, Starfest is Canada’s largest annual amateur astronomy conference and star party, ranked among the top 10 star parties in the world — and it’s right here in Ontario! Hosted by the North York Astronomical Association, this incredible weekend draws hundreds of sky-lovers from across Canada and the U.S.
What’s New in 2025?
This year’s theme is “Dark Matters” — and we’re diving deep into one of the most intriguing topics in modern astrophysics. 🕳🌌
We’ll be exploring questions like:
What is dark matter?
Can it ever be observed?
Is dark matter essential to understanding galaxy formation?
Could it be a delusion entirely?
With 27% of the universe’s mass-energy content made up of this mysterious substance, it’s a subject that astronomers and cosmologists can’t ignore — and neither will we at Starfest 2025. Come join leading-edge speakers as they tackle the most elusive stuff in the universe.
